A1 test is required to apply for Spouse visa with UK Home office. A1 test is also known as GESE Grade 2 test or CEFR A1 test or Esol Entry 1 test.

A2 test is required to apply for Spouse extension visa with UK Home office. A2 test is also known as GESE Grade 3 test or Esol Entry 2 test or CEFR A2.
A2 test is a Speaking and Listening test.
The duration of the A2 test is 7 minutes.
Yes A2 test is acceptable by UK Home office for Spouse visa extension applications.

There are 10 A2 test centres in United Kingdom. They are:
London Hammersmith
London Kings Cross
London Croydon
Birmingham
Manchester

Glasgow

The examiner will inform you about the A2 test result at the test centre. A provisional mark sheet showing the grades will be handed over at the test centre.

B1 TEST(BRITISH CITIZENSHIP)

B1 test is required if anyone wants to apply for British Citizenship or British Passport with the UK Home Office. B1 test is also known as B1 GESE Grade 5 test or CEFR B1 test or ESOL Entry 3 B1 test. This certificate is accepted by UK Home Office.
B1 test is a Speaking and Listening test. There is no writing involved in B1 test.
The duration of B1 test is 10 minutes.
